We stayed at Cartersville Country Winery in our fifth wheel as part of the Harvest Host program. Our plans were to stop over for one night on our way to Edisto Beach, but when Hurricane Michael's path was heading straight towards us, Tom insisted we stay at the winery until it passed. We were so very grateful for the hospitality that both Tom and Aubrey provided. They made us feel very welcome and even invited us to a small birthday celebration that took place our first night there. We had a nice wine tasting and a tour of the winery as well. We got to see where the wine was made as well as the space they are preparing for overnight guests in two rooms above the main floor. There was a fire at the winery about six months ago and they are still recovering from that catastrophe, but it didn't interfere with the amazing hospitality and good will they provided their guests. The wine is very good and we bought some to take with us and enjoy later. If you have an event such as a wedding or party, they have a beautiful and tranquil venue to enjoy your event with the vineyard itself providing the perfect backdrop for pictures. Thanks again from two very grateful people (and our two dogs) for shelter from the storm and your gracious...
Read moreStayed overnight with my 21’ rig and full hook ups (water, electricity, sewage) for $40. The staff were friendly, but busy doing their jobs around the site. My spot was in the rear of the main building. Unfortunately it had just rained so it was muddy (sites aren’t graveled), but it was level. Water had good pressure and the power stable (had a 50 amp receptacle but no 30 amp so 30 amp users don’t forget your dog bone). We weren’t allowed to do a wine tasting (whole point on coming here) due to being told they weren’t allowed to serve any alcoholic beverages after 5pm. So had to buy blindly! I took the chance and bought 3 of their wines (pomegranate, strawberry, & moonlight imagination) the pomegranate is a must. Ascetically the grape vines were Visually appealing but the rest of the place looked like a dump? Even when we were being guided in the guy was kicking trash out of the way. All and all it was a peaceful and quiet stop! But I don’t recommend going especially after 5pm, unless you really need a place to stop for the night in your rv or really like...

I visited this winery expecting Southern hospitality, but was shocked and saddened to see racist yard art and offensive memorabilia prominently displayed, including blackface caricatures and dehumanizing depictions of Black people. These items are not just outdated — they are rooted in a history of oppression and mockery.
It’s deeply disturbing that a business welcoming the public would proudly showcase such harmful imagery. This is not about nostalgia or decoration — it’s about human dignity. I urge the owners to reconsider what message they are sending and remove these offensive displays.
Until this is addressed, I cannot in good conscience recommend this...
