2 museums in one- first the Cotton Museum= fantastic presentation on the history of cotton in SC. The gentlemen who gave us a brief intro was great. Friendly and knowledgeable about the subject. Clean museum with exhibits that are clear to understand and fascinating to view. Well done. The veterans museum section was outstanding as well- wonderful relics and uniforms on display. I've been to a lot of military museums and was quite impressed with the exhibits here. Great gift shop on the complex. Always enjoyed the local folklore of The Lizard Man, and items on the subject are here on sale. The Doc Blanchard statue across the street is stunning, as is the Gratitude Train on the street. A military jet is also on display outdoors. Overall, a wonderful museum. This world traveler...

I had an outstanding experience visiting the South Carolina Cotton Museum: Home of the Lee County Veterans Museum. The exhibits are informative, thoughtfully curated, and provide a fascinating look into the history of cotton and the contributions of our veterans.

A special highlight of my visit was meeting Eddie Grant, the Executive Director. Eddie gave me a personal tour of both museums, and his enthusiasm, knowledge, and passion truly brought the history to life. It was an excellent learning experience, and I’m grateful for the time he shared with me.

If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by — it’s a wonderful place to explore and appreciate both agricultural and...

We enjoyed the museum. Learned lots of information about cotton and veterans and wars, I hadn't heard before! Thought the price for adult admission was a little high, but being a senior, that price was just right! The museum is in the process of being renovated and will be excited to see the changes that are made ( since it sure does need it). The self tour was great, no rush and there was staff to answer any questions one would have. My friend was happy to pay the reasonable price for an adult T shirt, just wasn't many options in her size, since a new shipment was expected in the future, not while...

Great day trip location to visit. Very informative and well laid out. From picking and production to everything in between, this museum has an incredible amount of static displays, photographs, art work and plaques that explain it all. Eddie Grant was an excellent host, his knowledge of the cotton industry is second to none. Extremely friendly, funny, and personable. I highly recommend you stop by this just off the freeway museum in Bishopville SC to see for yourself just how the cotton industry touches more than just your clothing and Q-tips

Great little small town gem. You can tell a lot of time and effort has gone into this museum. We were greeted soon as we walked in the door and provided with an introduction to the museum and a few interesting facts about cotton and the textile business. There is also a connected veterans museum in the adjoining building. Lots of neat facts and artifacts from the various conflicts the US has been involved in. Highly recommend you check this place out if you are in the area.
