I purchased our passes online and got there about 10am. We walked in to the building and we’re welcomed with a long line, in which we had to exit and re-enter through the back door of the rental shop. Then we had to stand in line for 45-50 minutes just to get our ticket. They should come up with some kind of system where you get a barcode or QR code for the pass purchase and have little kiosks throughout that can read the code and print out your paper ticket or a plastic card. We were talking to one of the locals and they said that the chair next to the high speed also never ran which could have helped reduce some of the long waits we had for the saravejo lift. The runs coming directly off the saravejo lift were just packed and busy with beginners or people who weren’t watching for others and just cutting people off. They also had races that day and the races took up three of the runs. So not only was the main lift busy and those runs just packed, one side of the mountain was open but there was only 2 runs off open to users. If you wanted to cut from the farthest right side of the mountain to the far left, you couldn’t make it unless you had to hike a distance. On the far right side of the mountain, that wasn’t super busy but then you were limited to some of the runs that ended up meeting up with catwalk. Inside it wasn’t too busy when we went in for lunch, but we didn’t stay too long because we were bored of doing the same runs and waiting in line to be able to get to the left side of the mountain. If you don’t mind long lines for lifts and getting a pass, Saturdays aren’t that bad. Otherwise Next time I’m planning on taking time off during the week and going. The price is some of the best, but I’ve been to places smaller and fatter away that are more expensive and didn’t take me almost an hour JUST to get my ticket. Especially when people are driving a good distance to ride and waste time in line just for a...
Read moreMN #1 destination golf outing. It's pretty top notch in our opinion.
The range was fantastic and offered free range balls. A chipping green just up from the range and putting green down from it.
The range and practice greens were outstanding and offered lots of different shots.
Carts - we went with Finn scooters which is the only way to go if you can in our opinion. Otherwise they look to be pretty standard electric with good storage.
The course- we played The Quarry course. Bring a phone with for some photos and to brag to your friends that you birdied hole 2 and some extra balls if you double bogeyed it.
From tee to green this course offers challenging and surreal shots. The greens are near perfection. We can't say enough how fun and beautiful this course is. It's one for the bucket list.
The food in the course restaurant was very good, even if they did mess up the order.
If you haven't been there check it out and you won't be disappointed.
The bad
I ordered the brisket sandwich without coleslaw on it. It came with it on it anyway. Too bad it looked like it might be worth eating.
It was hot as hell and only saw the beverage cart 2x on the front nine. Normally it's not an issue but there is no great stopping point mid round.
The drive. Stay if you can near the course as our 7 hours in the car that day was a bit much. (I know my problem not the course but worth mentioning)
All in all one of the better courses we've...
Read moreTook time to use some free lift tickets during President's Day weekend. We did a VRBO for the villas across the road--fantastic option! We loved the villa we had and it's convenient access to the ski area. Our wait in line to check in on day one was a bit long-signage wasn't great-so many people including myself went through and told people waiting that on-line check in was the way to go for a shorter line (we couldn't do that, but if others could I let them know). Kids were the only ones skiing and they enjoyed the hills very much. They enjoyed the food court food and prices. My husband and I walked from our villa to check out the Burnt Onion--there was a 30 min wait for a table (even though there were several tables open and a few getting ready to leave). We ordered our beers from the bar-and took them to the food court area-as no space at the bar either. The loss for them was we would have had a couple beers but with no space, why stick around. Second day, the check in was way faster-as it was the actual holiday and snow was falling. Kids probably did double the runs as the day before with the crowd being low. Facilities we saw were clean and there looked to be ample staff. Liked the layout. Loved all the windows to see out. Loved seeing the Solar Edge info for the solar panels. Really a nice spot! Could see...
