Going here was a very positive experience. Rented a nicely maintained pavilion which was complete with sink, refrigerator, and lots countertop space, making food preparation a breeze. There were plenty of clean picnic tables available, including wheelchair accessible seating. One end of the pavilion included a fireplace, complete with wood and fire starting supplies. What a nice mood setter!
The park is dog friendly, which was such a relief for me! I kept my pup on a leash and cleaned up after him and all went well for expectations.
Felt very comfortable speaking with the management staff who stopped by before guests arrived. Terms and conditions were in writing, and also verbalized when together. No guesswork--just enjoyment!
It was a beautiful setting to be a part of, including a view from a terrace. There is also a duck pond to enjoy. Sit on a bench or sit on the grass or bring your own chair. The park is well groomed. It has paved walking paths, horses grazing on grass on distant land, view newly and established planted trees, shrubs and plants. There are memorial tribute markers on the ground.
I saw a couple of ballgames going on, also a swimming place, and a football, track and field area, but didn't get involved with any of that.
There was plenty of parking space even with all the activity going on.
Whether it be for a private event or an outting for public enjoyment, I'd recommend this place...

ย ย ย Read moreThis is a fantastic accessible playground. Lots of ground accessible equipment. Some levels are climbing only and there are a couple of low spots in the poured rubber, but a walker or wheel chair can get over the full surface.
There's low level climbers for toddlers. And swing spots for kids of all ages and abilities. There is also ground based musical items. The umbrella shades seem decently placed to give intermittent shade throughout the day.
The bathrooms seem reasonable and the shelter is also...
