Just had the Apple wine and i would highly recommend never drinking it. The Alcohol content / taste is way too overpowering and honestly it almost tastes like some sort of disgusting malt-liquor beverage.
I opened the wine and before I even poured a glass I sniffed the cork and it smelled disgusting! I figured "well, maybe it'll taste better than it smells"; no, it tastes just as it smells: disgusting.
Maybe the tours they do are awesome since this was a gift someone gave me who actually went there but the Wine itself is pretty low grade imo, well at least the "Apple Wine" is, some sort of make-shift malt-liquor infused Chardonnay or something?
oh, i also had the "Arrowhead Red" a few weeks ago it's also really horrible. If you like Wine especially for the money / budget wines then there are a TON that are better than this low grade wine-beverage they sell. I mean there is almost no reason to ever spend the 8bucks (or whatever the price is for this stuff) because for the money you can go to almost any decent store (even Price Chopper has better wine on the shelves) and get a better quality Wine with a better taste.
The Brand is very low grade wine there isn't any balance in the taste at all. Both wines suffer from the same flaw, the both start with a very strong Alcohol taste and then taste like nothing more than Sugar water after a few sips (i forced myself to drink more than 1 glass just to see if it got better). I would highly recommend staying away from this brand unless you are buying it just to support...

They do not grow their own Concord. The Sangree is the same taste as Arrowhead only peach infused and less sugar. BBV does have a good selection of drys that are nice, a small scale winery with about 7 acres, I expected a true Concord from their own design in the Midwest.
I've had wines from IA, MO, and AK so far, and the great majority of wineries all grow their own Concord. Their Norton and Encore are winners! Visited 4/10/2021. I gave a 3-Star review for their quaint hidden gem appeal and tasting room attendant, but their best seller is not their...
Read moreOne of, if not the, best winery in MO! The lady that helped us with our tasting let us sample several of their wines and was very generous on the pricing. She has the best witty humor and is super charming. The wine itself is absolutely delicious and we came in just wanting a bottle and left with 4. I cannot recommend this place more! Do yourself a favor and try their wine, and you'll certainly leave happy - and you may spot...
