Small town history museum chock full of local history such as the 1955 tornado, the factories that are no longer open, how the high school's mascot, called Maroon, came to be, etc. They have an entire music room and several dedicated to just military history. The best part may be the curators who are knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.

Visited during my grandma's highschool reunion. It's amazing how much history from the town has been saved and that everyone knows each other. Everyone working there was super friendly and informative. Definitely recommend checking the museum out if you're visiting Blackwell.

Top of Oklahoma Historical Museum was a really neat stop! They have several amazing collections including Native American art and artifacts, a music room, and an exhibit about the tornado of 1955. Very interesting!

A wonderful preservation of Blackwell's past and the perfect start to the Barn Quilt Geotour. Many of us managed to complete the challenge and take home beautiful Geocoins as a reward. Thank you to Blackwell for being Oklahoma's...
