This is an odd little Park. Strangely nestled between a small airport and a freight line Railroad, it's a narrow swath of Prairie that opens up into a picnic type Park area with a small Lake and a sledding hill. Fortunately I have not ever had to pay to enter this park as I've gone either in the evening or in the offseason non-peak. I honestly can't imagine paying anything to go here it's not really worth paying for a visit to this location in my opinion. If you have kids it might be a good place for them to run the stink off of themselves, maybe spend a couple hours fishing or in the winter time sledding, but beyond that there's really not...
Read moreI love our local Forrest preserves like wampum sweet woods etc but a recent rental of a pavilion was $500+ I feel our taxes have already paid for forrest preserves infrastructures like a pavilion with and if it's not being used people should be able to use it without being charged anything and if someone wants to use it they are put on a list and allowed to reserve it for that day for their group Imho anyway the grounds were well taken care of it's a great place to spend a beautiful sunny summer day on the lake the workers for the county preserve have done a great job with keeping it...
