Lockville Park is a nice park for a walk around the 3 locks. There is also a covered bridge that you can walk across. The covered bridge can also be reserved for a party or something. A shelter house with tables is there. But no restrooms or water fountains. Two of the locks are in very good condition. You can just imagine the boats going through, and loading and unloading people and supplies. The middle lock needs repairs. I hope someone with the training and money can come to the rescue of our historical past. It is a part of who we are and where...

Lockville Park in Fairfield County OH is a pleasant and peaceful experience. While parking you immediately see the cut-stone canal lock. It is quite large and impressive. Further to the left of the lock is one of Fairfield's historic covered bridges spanning the canal. The Fairfield County Historic Parks Department moved this covered bridge over the canal to preserve and maintain it. The canal, canal bank area, the amazing lock and the covered bridge makes Lockville Park a...

Covered bridge! And… … A more important scenery here is, at the park, the old Ohio & Erie Canal from Lake Erie though Ohio and connected Ohio River passing through here. One of the old canal lock was located here, maybe in 1830'*s. You still be able see the lock structures today. If you would like learn more about it, other than search it online, is to stop by and check it out the historical place just on the...

The park was well kept, grass maintained, clean. There was a pavillion and ample seating near the parking lot, which is relatively small but given the nature of this park, dont expect a ton of visitors at once. The locks are impressive pieces of history, but as you walk from one to the other, residential properties and park boundary disappear. There were no restrooms or portapotties.

Cool place walking around the old locks after leaving past several that were not part of the park. Some were on private property and things were built on them. Seeing old covered bridges is great. There are three of the locks here at the park. There is a picnic shelter and a shelter and several picnic tables around. No restrooms
