At first, I was so pleased with Paw Palace; the staff seemed nice and the facility is beautiful. However, in mid June when I took my dog to day care there for the day, my opinion of the facility changed permanently. When I picked up my dog, I noticed he was moving a little slow; he usually is 100 mph at all times; very energetic. I figured he was just tired from a long day of play. When we got home, he walked slowly into the house. I let him out to potty a few hours later and by then he was walking gingerly, as if his feet hurt. I looked at his paw pads and they were completely blistered and torn! All four of them! I wanted to cry for my dog. I literally had to lift him onto my bed (he's 63lbs) and clean his wounds. I immediately called the facility and left a message for someone to call me back with answers as to why my dog was injured and why no one told me. The next morning I was able to emergently take my dog to his vet. She had to trim his paw pads and prescribed pain medication and antibiotics for two weeks. The administrator of Paw Palace, Ilad, called me back while I was at the vet. The vet told him she thought all four of his paws were suffering chemical burns from possibly whatever cleaning solution they use to clean the cages. Ilad denied any possibility of that. He would barely let my vet get a word in; he kept interrupting her and being rude (the conversation was on speakerphone). It had been a very cool day that particular day I left my dog with Paw Palace, so there was no way he burned his feet outside. The vet had also noticed a new bite mark in his ear (from another dog) that she confronted Ilad about; again he denied that anything could possibly have happened to my dog at Paw Palace and insinuated that I harmed my own dog!! REALLY?? I CUT UP MY DOGS FEET AND THEN RUSHED HIM TO THE VET OVER IT THE NEXT MORNING??? WHY, BECAUSE I LOVE VET BILLS? ARE YOU CRAZY? This was the poorest excuse for customer service that I have ever seen. He then, however, offered to pay the vet bill. I told him that was the very least he could do. No compassion for my dog AT ALL from this guy and he's running a place for dogs! The poor rescue animals that are offered for adoption at Paw Palace; I can only imagine what they go through at this place. I would NEVER take my dog back to this place ever again and I caution everyone about them. I have no biological children so my dog is my child. I would never hurt him and I certainly will not put him in harms way by bringing him back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreāIām crying more saying goodbye to my dog for a week, than I did saying goodbye to my husband for a monthā ā¦..Those were the first words out of my mouth walking into Paw Palace.
My husband was on an extended trip for work and we had a planned vacation I was taking solo with our kids, one in which we couldnāt bring our trusty road dog, Banshee Louise. I was greeted by an extremely kind, compassionate, welcoming staff and left feeling like I was leaving my beloved pup with family.
We booked one of the āsuitesā which are right up in the front of the office and decorated to look like cute little barn doors. They were extremely well cared for and honestly, bigger than the powder room in my house, haha! I especially loved that I could bring her bed, all of her toys as well as her āni niā (one of my old tshirts) to snuggle with when she slept. There was a little doggy door in her suite so she could come in/out at her leisure. She had private yard access (moderately dog aggressive, sheās a retired State Police k9) AND I had 24/7 access to watch her on a security camera. Win win for all of us!
There were a few times I peeked in on her and I could see and hear the staff interacting with her and it brought me so much comfort hearing them and seeing them treat her with so much love and kindness. I could tell when she was sleeping that she was relaxed and didnāt feel stressed out, which truly made the week fly by.
The highlight of all of it though was being able to watch her reaction to seeing her daddy picking her up (we were still on the trip) through the camera in her suite. After not seeing him for a whole month, her realizing he was there to bring her home was just the icing on the cake.
Paw Palace, thank you for the love and kindness you share with our fur babies. Leaving them behind is the worst feeling ever but leaving knowing they are in AMAZING hands makes it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a Veteran/Senior Citizen I am appalled by the non-professionalism of this facility. I was instructed to go to their website which is not their's but a third party administration site to process their UPFRONT payment for services. No where on their website does it state or on the payment site does it state that if you cancel the fee is non-refundable. Going over my notes I took when processing is there anything that was stated to me although they stand firm that it was verbally spoken to me. I got a text message(when I had only authorized email or phone call) that the obedience class involved training via a clicker. When I called to inquiry as I am not fan of that type of training/untraining treat based reward to a clicker I was told that is the only way they train. I would cancel and that is how I found out about their non-refund. They did finally agree to transfer the fee to another class and I clearly stated I was interested in the at home for 125.00; still a loss of 25.00 from original fee. I received texts again asking if Saturday morning at 10 would be fine and responded yes. Yet the third & final blow came when I received another text with their directions for their facility for private. WHen I called that no it was to be in my home.... I was than told that their trainer's are not available at this time to do home training so it is not offered. Why was this not communicate before all this. My recourse for their lack of communication, their lack of honesty and respect to a customer is to give the negative review and to contact the BBA and file...
