It's fitting that I leave the first review, as my now husband and I were the first couple to have an event here. My wedding was in New Jersey, but as a native Michigander, my mother wanted to do something for us in my home state. It was a surprise shower that my mother worked very hard on, and is now BLOOMING into a new business venture for her. I admit I am fully biased as Mona Hale (my mother) is the owner of what is now The Farm at Bloomingdale, what is not biased is the genuine joy and love I felt when she pulled back the barn doors of her late father's farm. There is history at the farm. I had always known that, but to see it transform into a new space, making room for new history, new memories, was really magical. And this was 3 years ago! The continued transformation since of the barns, the grounds, the farmhouse has blown my mind. I almost want to get married again and have the whole shebang at the farm!! I have the utmost faith that you will find the farm to be as magical and special as I did and still do. If you are looking to get married, have a celebration or family gathering in Southwest Michigan, checking out The Farm at...
Read moreTook the Madre out, my daughter, and my son out to dinner. The food was so flavorful, my Mom and I had the smoked tips, my daughter and son had the pulled pork, it came with sides that had all unique flavors. My daughter never eats potato salad and she ate every bit. I loved the cucumber salad and the coleslaw. I'm not a huge meat eater but I was so hungry I almost ate all of mine. We did had some leftovers from each and thank goodness because I will eat it tomorrow too. Chef Shawn made an amazing dinner service at The Farm. The environment was A mix of old antiques and country chic. I loved the lighted path areas I wish I would have had more time to look at all the neat antiques. A place I will definitely be back to. Saw a few friends from high school and it was so nice to see them and their smiles that...

The food was cold and the sides that were served were very, very small portions, smaller than an ice cream scoop, definitely not as the photos depicted for sure. it consisted of 3 salads and cornbread. I think the price paid was expensive for the portions served., I wish I had taken a photo of the tin plate to show the amount of food you receive. Great idea, great taste of bbq but increase your portions. Everyone in our party felt the same, it was overpriced with the small portions...
