This place was horrible my asian school went here and we got treated so bad with the staff were so rasict to us, asking our teachers if we speak english what kind of question is that of course we speak english and telling us to shut up this was our first time and they were so rude. The workers even mocked us what kind of people do that to school kids it was our first time and they mocked us and kicked us off the chair lift because we were "falling and not being safe" while there was also other kids falling on the big hills and the staff was all nice to the white kids but not to us asain kids. Staff treated us so badly that made some of my friends kids of how rude they were to us one of the staff made my friend that was on top of the big hill that was on the chairlift and made them walk all the way down they were so sad about what happened. The lessons were also no help, with the working talking bad about us does not help it either I heard from the staff when I was doing my lesson "oh boy this is gonna take a long time they cant even do this right" we cant do this right because your getting mad at us for not doing right because your not teaching us properly. I also heard from my friend said when she was doing a lesson one of the guy workers held onto her waist to tight that made her uncomfortable the worker could have grabbed onto her shoudlers but no he grabbed her onto her waist were only 14 and 13 what makes you think you can do that did he even ask her for permission for it probably not because they treated us to differently to the other white kids. One of my classmates also got hurt really badly but no one was coming she was there on the ground for a good 10 minutes talk about being there for our safety. This is was not a fun field trip I wanted for our 8th trip but its so werid because before us the other 8th graders did not have this treatment why this year you thought wow this 8th graders suck so lets be rasict and treat them rudely train your workers how to be nice to every race instead of just training them how to ski and how to be nice to white kids instead and there was only a few staff that...

A student from an Asian school, I came here for an 8th field trip today to have fun but I was met with racism and rudeness from some of the instructors, especially this one lady who was blonde, her whole face was sunburnt and around her eyes were white. While I was doing the lesson on how to do the “pizza” thing while going down the hill, I saw the way she rudely yelled at my classmates. Mind you, we’re taking the “beginners course.” When it was my turn, I had that lady as my instructor. So I approached her but I was side ways so I tried to turn around to face her but she had the audacity to say “Oh, so you wanna do your own way cause you’re an 8th grader, huh?” Like, no. I was LITERALLY trying to face towards you. Like, do you want me to go skiing side ways or something? I also heard that lady was rude to everyone else from MY SCHOOL, even making RACIST comments, I should say. Especially to these THREE students who didn’t know ENGLISH. She legit said, “Do you understand me? Do you know how to speak English?” Like the AUDACITY?? Like why are you being so rude when you don’t even know that person PERSONALLY??? I even heard that one of my classmates had to keep doing the skiing lessons for TWO WHOLE HOURS because the instructors WOULDN’T let him pass. He was even doing it right too?? So I don’t understand why he couldn’t pass. I also went to the area where the ski lift chair was and I saw my whole classmates coming back to do the trashy beginnings stuff because apparently, the people who were in charge of the ski lift chair said that they wanted to BAN us from going there and only let the WHITE kids or schools get on it.

I am absolutely so disappointed because this is my last year in middle school and I wanted to have fun before I go into high school. Y’all need to do better. Racist instructors, like who the heck even wants people like them as an...

My 8th grader and her school went here today, January 15, 2025 and had the worst experience ever! She came home almost in tears because of how badly they were treated. My daughter's school is a Hmong Charter school and every student felt like they were treated badly because of their skin color. She said there were a few helpful staffs (she remebers 3) but mostly all the staffs working today yelled at them to speak English and even one of the old racist white lady told my daughter to loose weight (That staff is lucky I was not there, or I would have put her in her place!). The instructors were not very helpful at all, as it was my daughter's and a lot of her classmates first time ever skiing and the instructors kept yelling at them when they did not know what to do or could not do what the instructors told them to do, because they have never ski before! She said there was another school there but they were all white kids and were treated very well but unfortunately my daughter and her school were not and did not have a good time. Her school does not plan to return to place. It is 2025 and its sad that racism still exist. I hope the owners re-educate and re-train their staffs to treat everyone equally and to not be racist or discriminate. For sure this place will loose business if it continues to treat their customers of colors badly... If the owners allow their staffs to be racists and continues to treat people of color badly, than the owners need to get reeducated themselves... Very...

I've been a pass holder at Buck Hill for over the past 15 years, next season will be my first season purchasing a pass at Hyland Hills. Buck Hill does not maintain their parks, you guys destroy terrain parks. Buck Hill has slowly gone downhill since 2018. They need a park crew like the guys at Hyland who have experience and actually know what the heck they are doing. This season has been a waste of time and money being a rider at Buck Hill. You guys at Hyland Hills are constantly adding new features, updating your parks, and listening to your riders! Buck Hill has not done any of those three things. Wish I could get refunded $480.00 from Buck Hill and just buy a pass at Hyland for the remainder of the season. The photo below is a rainbow box Buck Hill just placed after a lengthy needed update on one of their rope tows. First of all, who sets a rainbow box to flat and to make it even worse its not even level/flush with the slope of the hill. Hyland Hills take my money! Can't wait to be riding at Hyland come the 2022/2023 season.

We went here to see what in-town skiing was like. Nice chalet, reasonably priced food, large terrain park, along with rope tows and (3) 4-person lifts. Overall, we enjoyed it immensely. My only complaint is that the 3 person lift to the far left of the chalet was horribly disorganized. They had 6 different entrance points for the line and no-one knew who was next to board. At one point we had a group of 4 young girls who were less-than-assertive, and so we sat there for almost 20 minutes waiting while everyone else in the other lines went right on by. After that I figured out how to demand my spot. But it still is dependant on the people in front of you. They need to limit it to 2 main lines, with a singles line that can join on the side. And speed the lift up a little bit. It felt extremely slow. Especially when compared to other chairlifts that we have seen at the other ski hills we have visited this year. Definitely would go here again!
