While the park and sights are nice enough on a bright spring day, it's really just somewhat of a varied tour through the Minnesota slew, up a hill and and through a wood, complete with wildlife including coyotes, birds, frogs, and even a small snake or two. Oh, and ticks. Dozens of ticks, especially on the dogs. They were so big we were mostly able to pick them off quickly before getting into the car. Still, we were finding stow aways under their fur for days.
While the sights and the stroll over mostly flat terrain were enjoyable of themselves, I would not return with dogs and would definitely wear long, skin-tight clothes... and jog through. At least if you're moving they're less likely to hold...

Great for a little getaway into the wilderness, but not too far from home. The Blue Hill trails sits right within the Sherburne Wildlife refuge so there is plenty to see and explore around. You can walk through some oak savannas, wetlands, Lakeshore, conifer forest, and of course see the great views from on top of Blue Hill. A great place to hike with the dog or on your own, can be windy. Only downside was the lack of trash cans at the trailhead, which makes disposing of pet waste...
