This trail is suitable for experienced hikers who are steady on their feet. One side of the reservoir is a dirt-mud-rocky trail with streams coming down from the higher elevations here and there. You have to carefully pick your way over these areas. I would advise wearing hiking boots.The trail is narrow, surrounded by shrubs and low plants and flowers. The trail winds up into the trees on the opposite side. It is a lovely forest trail with occasional fallen trees to climb over. Part of the trail is on a hillside and somewhat slanted. There isn't much water surface area, but it was fun for a light couple mile paddle and easy bonding time.
