Herrington Lake — Attraction in Bluegrass Region

Visited the lake for the first time today with my family. We loved the lake and will most definitely be back! There were some boats that had young drivers, and they were a little wreckless at times, so you have to be very aware all of the time (as you should be anyway 😊). Other than that, it's our favorite so far. And we loved the fact we could dock our pontoon at the Marina and sit on the dock to eat at the restaurant. Me, my husband and our 3 kids had a blast today. Oldest large man made lake in KY. 1925 hydro electric. Privately owned. Narrow long steep cliffs limestone. Very pretty. Lots of trash and trees afloat. Some nice marinas. Few good boat ramps.
