This cave is amazing. I've been hear many times. If you're really into spelunking then this is one of the best. There's nothing man made in the cave except this big steel gate at the entrance. The cave itself is 4.5 miles long. A quarter mile into the cave is the biggest room. It's always been referred to as the quarter mile mark. There's also places thar you can repell from and places to camp if you want. The walk down to the cave entrance is beautiful. I swear if your third eye is open you can actually feel the energy from touching anything in that place, it's amazing. I love this cave. Be careful though if you take your children because the floor of the cave is slick so wear some good footwear and you'll be fine. Also there's not a lot of really tight spots that you have to squeeze your way...
Read moreLoved this cave system.Owner was friendly, met us on his porch. Go to house sign in and pay for parking. This is a real cave system. Not recommended for inexperienced. Wear helmet, 3 sources of light per person, good sturdy shoes as its muddy, wet and plenty of rocks to twist your ankle. The upper "dry" passage is pretty straight forward and more challenging the further you go in. This passage is warmer than normal, but gets colder the further you get in to a more common cave temp, so dress appropriately as it can be misleading. We had some teens that was there first time underground and was perfect as it was only moderately challenging with plenty to explore . The formations get bigger and more intricate the further back. A great experience and we already plan to go back. Be safe, be prepared...
Read moreNot going to give a bad review as I see from the other reviews it deserves a 5 but we couldn't even get in to the parking. Car is pretty low but most any car would have probably scraped and I wasn't risking destroying something underneath or my wheels. Right after you leave the paved road at the gate it was all washed out at least 6 inches. No way to straddle it sideways or at the edges. Dumping 4 or 5 bags of concrete right at that end would fix it either permanently or for long enough to make it worth it to not lose any customers if it needed to be redone in the future. Maybe even run a thick wall 4" PVC pipe right there underneath the concrete to keep it from washing away for good. Tried to call and see if there was another way to get in but nobody answered...
