Timber Ridge Winery — Attraction in Boerne

Surprising and small developing winery nestled off the busy highway 16 toward Bandera Tx - Not a far drive from SanAntonio. It’s worth drive on a lazy wkend to grab a few bottles to have on hand. Winery offers only two wines but both are very good in my opinion. The Orange Muscat is a rare & pleasant off the beaten path wine to enjoy (great w BBQ!). I do not like sweet wines but the Orange Muscat was very nice - I would definitely drink again because it was just the right amount of sweet & dryness to enjoy as refreshing change to Reisling. Merlot is very nice as well,...”Smooth & Earthy” gentle aromas satisfy the senses when one craves red wine. The owner is pleasant and welcoming - I will return and recommend a visit. Though at present the winery does not offer tastings, with Covid situation, the outdoor scenery accommodates enjoyment if one chooses to enjoy on their own. Wine is sold by the bottle only.
