Living in BSL most of my life, this lake has been the lake I go to when I want to go take a dip or entertain my kids, as well as utilize the picnic area for bday parties. Read moreThe view was pretty but the water itself was not. I haven't been there since I was a little kid but I sure do remember the water looking a lot different. The water was covered with a blackish green film on top. It reflected in the sun the same way gas does when it lays on top of the water and people were still swimming in it with their children. Read moreBeautiful spot! Plenty of free parking and grassy areas in sun or shade. Two shelters with tables and a couple of port-a-potties. No beach to speak of. Bring your coolers because there's not much close by. The lake itself was super warm today, but with the heat index over 100, it was still a refreshing swim. Not crowded at all, but the people there were friendly and cool neighbors.
