Bethel Rock Wedding Venue — Attraction in Bonham

WOW! AMAZING! STUNNING! I cannot say enough about Bethel Rock! The beautiful grounds, the different charming buildings, the views, THE OWNERS & STAFF, the decor!!!! (Jennifer, Joanna Gaines has nothing on you!) After looking at 7 or 8 other venues we toured Bethel Rock and my daughter knew this was the place! So peaceful and quite and tucked away from all noise! We didn't bother looking anymore! Jennifer and John were so gracious, helpful and accommodating! We set up another tour to bring the rest of the crew and they accommodated us and they never made us feel rushed or like we were bothering them! We made several trips there! They are so hospitable and they both have such servants hearts! Leading up to the wedding they were there for us and all our crazy questions and requests! I cannot put in words how amazing they are! We rented the house out the night before the wedding (Beautiful, comfortable and spacious by the way) and had our rehearsal dinner there as well and the bride and her girls stayed there. They were Johnny on the spot with everything! Always there to help with anything! I was a little stressed and Jennifer, John and the staff were right there to see what i needed and what they could do to help! Then the day of the wedding AGAIN they were all there doing little things to help, which were actually big things to me! I was shaking so bad I couldn't put the topper on the wedding cake and I looked at Jennifer and said "I can't do it!" She took it and placed it for me! I know that may seem little but to me it was huge! They truly are so amazing and love what they do and they WANT this day to be perfect and special and they do what they can to help make that happen! The day was perfect and everything ran smoothly and I know they all had a hand in that! And then the clean up........OH MY GOODNESS! They helped with that as well! They brought up all the decorations from the ceremony area for us, they helped with moving things, their staff helped in the kitchen with cleaning up! Oh and the security!!!! You have to use who they recommend! He was right there all night in the middle helping everyone, even the caterers! He helped clean, load and with trash AND he is so social and friendly and everyone at the wedding just loved him! We had so many hands helping to make clean up go smoothly and quick! I know this is long but I could keep writing! I cannot put into words how amazing and special Bethel Rock and the staff are! I am so thankful for Jennifer and John! Choosing Bethel Rock was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process, and when COVId hit, it definitely confirmed that. John and Jennifer are the absolute best, and I loved working with them. They made everything SO easy for us. They were so kind, patient, and personal from our first tour meet, and they answered every. single. question. I had for the next 8 months so quickly and so kindly. And when everything got thrown up into the air in March/April not only for us but also for them as venue owners, they were still so prompt and so understanding. The venue is gorgeous, and the pictures/videos do not do justice. You have to see the venue for yourself in person! The only thing that I personally wished to change was to make the reception hall larger, but that's just me as COVID really make everything seem tighter with social distancing. My bridal party and I selected to rent the beautiful bridal house the night before the wedding, and I would highly recommend it as it is gorgeous!! We had the venue the evening before and being able to set-up everything in advance made the set-up process and the day-of more enjoyable. My bridal party kept telling me how much they loved being able to sleepover there, and my now-husband was so jealous he and his groomsmen couldn't. Jennifer was so quick at responding to my texts to make sure we were all settled in well. On the day of the wedding, John and Jennifer made sure everything ran smoothly, and I am sure there are things they did behind the scenes that I don't even know about! We had someone who needed to go to the emergency room during the reception, and John and Jennifer left the venue and drove 30min one way to the city to make sure they got there safely! How can they be any kinder!! Throughout the planning process, they told me they just wanted us to have the best day ever and that they could share Christ's love with us, and they sure did. My husband and I got married here a few weeks ago. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and the planning all the way up until our wedding day was seamless. The reason I’m only leaving four stars is just because the day of the wedding was a bit rocky from start to finish, to be completely honest. I don’t remember the names of our venue attendants but they left a bit to be desired. Not being able to get to the venue until noon really adds some pressure to hit the ground running when you arrive. I was excited to see all the items I rented on the tables ready for me when I got there, that was great. A bit into the decorating process, I asked one of the attendants to move the “LOVE” letters out of the ceremony space, something I was told would be absolutely no problem ahead of time, but was told it wasn’t possible. Turns out the letters are very easy to move and my dad and brother moved them for me instead. We also realized we were missing a few of the bigger items we were expecting, such as the Welcome table, the couch for the lookout, and the giant connect four we had rented from them. The attendants were quite MIA throughout the whole day so receiving those items proved to be a bit tricky. The ceremony also had far too many chairs for how big our wedding was and when we asked if the attendants could help us remove some to even it out, we were just told no. Our tour of the place went great and the owner was so helpful and nice throughout, it really was just the day of that lacked a little bit.
