We ended up hiking to the peak of the Roman Nose, which has one of the most beautiful views I've seen, it is a rough hike to do all in one day, so I would recommend camping at the lake and hiking to the peak the next day. make sure to bring plenty of water/ a water filter, but it's worth it.
