Roman Nose Lakes — Attraction in Bonners Ferry

We went 7/11/24 and it was Awesome, all of the lakes are pretty, but the upper lake was definitely my favorite. We ended up hiking to the peak of the Roman Nose, which has one of the most beautiful views I've seen, it is a rough hike to do all in one day, so I would recommend camping at the lake and hiking to the peak the next day. make sure to bring plenty of water/ a water filter, but it's worth it. Absolutely amazing place to go when its warm! I went this September and it was a bit smoky from the fires but the air there was cleaner than the valley. Decent fishing too, but a bit chilly to go swimming (even for me) though exploring the forest is very relaxing and fun! A bit of a long and windy, dusty road to get there, but definitely worth the trip.
