Kate Shelley Railroad Museum — Attraction in Boone

The site is not maintained well, the Train Depot building is rotting away. The outhouse bathrooms is not usable and there are no other facilities on-site. Somebody is taking care of the walking trails along where the rail used to run though. Good place to get some exercise, just don't forget the bug spray. The trail was super fun to walk. There was a cabin wall made of stone near the river which was super cool as well. The kids loved the little mining car at the train station area. There were a lot of wasps around the train station building so we peeked in the windows and then just stayed...
