Kind of hard to capture everything The 1868 Farmhouse has to offer in a single Google review. We recently had our wedding there and it was fantastic. From the moment we reached out regarding scheduling (rescheduled a COVID WEDDING) until we packed up for home after brunch on Sunday. Deb and Allyson accommodated us throughout the entire process, and made us feel very comfortable with any decisions we had to make.

PROS: -We were allowed to setup early on Friday -Huge space for our rehearsal dinner on site (inside and out) -Gorgeous courtyard(s) for the ceremony Perfectly sized reception hall that is right next to the ceremony location that is setup to keep the party going until the lights come on -There's a very swanky bridal hall in the main house so the gals could get up at the crack of dawn and start their process Man cave in the basement for lounging during the long haul of a wedding day (with a pool table) Large grass area for kids and yard games. Allows for so many options if drinking and dancing aren't your thing. Got to request what drinks we wanted served, and even came up with a fun signature drink! Reception bar staff had great attitudes and they acted like they were part of the party

Cons: All receptions have to end at some point.

Their "rules" were so flexible compared to all the other venues we priced out. We were allowed to pick our caterer, bring our own desserts, decorate the venue however we wanted, and hire anybody we want for entertainment. We truly felt like it was 'our' space for the weekend. We never felt pressured to get in and get out so they could get it ready for the next event. Most places we talked to we felt like a number that had to follow 7000 rules just to get a one night event. These guys treat you like a HUMAN and let you plan the party you want.

They even allow dogs at the venue! which sounds small, but a lot of other places we checked out were not pet friendly. (wack)

This place is perfect. If it's in your budget. Book it. Then get a block at the Cobblestone in Boone, and you can run a shuttle there and back in like 10 minutes.

You won't...

In short, BOOK 1868 FARMHOUSE ASAP!

In a more detailed review: Allyson, Deb, Rick, and the rest of the 1868 Farmhouse crew go ABOVE AND BEYOND. Very responsive when my husband and I asked a million questions, knowledgeable about the business, can point you towards some other amazing vendors (food, band, cakes, decor, photography, video, hair/make-up, etc.), very professional, and are the ULTIMATE HYPE CREW leading up to, AND on the day of your wedding! They are right there with you making sure everything is running along smoothly, and ensuring a good time is being had by all.

This is Allyson and Deb's family home, and they truly make you feel like you are part of the family when you are using their facilities.

A few of my favorites: -You can book the entire weekend! -The bridal suite-- my gals and I stayed over in the bridal suite the night before so we could wake up there early the next morning to get ready. There are bunks, a large bathroom, get ready area/room for hair and make-up, lots of fridge space, AND a coffee bar. I cannot stress this enough! This was SO COOL and made getting ready in one space a DREAM! -Beautiful backdrops from every angle for photos. -The BARTENDERS- for our wedding were a BLAST! Super kind, and hyped us up all night! -THE ARCHES- seen in the photographs provided, 1868 Farmhouse had these arches on hand for us to rent for our wedding and Rick made sure they were set up well. They turned out gorgeous! -PATIO & YARD GAMES- it was a beautiful night the night of our wedding, many of our guests hung out on the patio and playing yard games. This was a really nice addition and fun for the kiddos that attended, as well.

I could keep going... 1868 Farmhouse is a DREAM venue that is going to continue to be booked out for years to come, so book them ASAP! You will...

The 1868 Farmhouse is outstanding. They are doing it right! We initially went to visit the venue back in the fall of 2020. At that time, they still hadn't had their first official wedding, but I was 100% in love. I knew from the moment I stepped out of the car this was going to be the place we got married.

The staff is amazing. I can't say enough good things about each and every single one of them. We truly couldn't have done it without the help from Allyson, her family and their staff. Every single person was so extremely helpful and kind. From asking general questions to on the day of offering to go and get things for us. It is the kind of service you truly don't see very often.

The venue itself offers such amazing things as well. The house has a bridal suite, getting ready room (huge plus for make up / hair artists!), a full bathroom, bunk room, "man cave" area and the cutest little veranda. The ceremony areas are stunning and no matter how it's set up - your wedding will be beautiful. The reception hall is just as gorgeous. I've seen it decorated so many different ways and its still as gorgeous as the last one.

Our entire weekend was filled with praises from family and friends. Everyone was gushing over how gorgeous the venue was, praising the amazing and we even got a few "I wish this was here when I got married".

It was an amazing weekend and we are so blessed we had our wedding at the 1868 Farmhouse. They are memories we will have for a lifetime, which we are so grateful for. If you're thinking about having your wedding here - do it, you...
