Booneville City Park — Attraction in Booneville

This review is for the Booneville park league sports.

The issue I have is the Park Management does not take the initiative to make sure the referees know the basic rules of the sport in which they’re officiating and allows for small kids that work hard towards a championship to ultimately be cheated.

I’ve been an athlete my whole life, and I know refs can make bad calls, they are not perfect and sometimes it costs a team a winning game, it is part of sports. I was trained to never blame an official and this is not a review towards any official but for the MANAGEMENT that oversees these sports leagues.

When Management, who had not seen a minute of the game, takes the word of a single fan, AFTER regulation play was done and overtime had already been decided upon by EACH of the teams coaches and official, that was a show of blatant unfairness and it certainly needs to be addressed and fixed immediately. This is not the example we, as a community, want to set for our kids and I expect better from the PARK MANAGEMENT in educating and ensuring the officials on their payroll to be fully confident and able to do their jobs with fairness and reciprocity!

Let the kids play and from a management standpoint: give the Referees, but mostly the kids the effort, fairness and initiative that they deserve, because not only does the Park make a profit from these kids for participating, but these kids play their hearts and souls out on those fields and they deserve the opportunity to learn, grow, have fun and to be shown and treated with fairness...
