My 1 star review is not about the park but about the state's process you are forced to go through to obtain a permit. Essentially, you have to title and register you ORV before you are allowed to purchase the permit. The process is similar to registering an on-road vehicle and you will incur additional costs prior to the purchase of the permit. While the process is similar to that of an on-road vehicle, it does not allow you to drive on paved roads (unless your county has taken steps to allow it.) My family supports state and local parks but the money grabbing process set-up by the state is just another way of generating income. Gate entrance fees and permits to ride I am okay with since they go to the parks. The signage on the trails really needs to be improved. It is easy to get lost and difficult to find your way out if you aren't familiar.
My cherokee trailhawk has 8.7" of ground clearance and a rear locker. I aired down to 22 and never got close to getting stuck.
The ruts arent very deep and many puddles you cant know how deep they are, but my limited ground clearance had no trouble getting...
Read moreVery well maintained and marked trails. Nice park. Accomodating for All skill levels. Closest place for us to ride for the day. Disappointed that they don't have the means to look up season pass holders. I had to put my truck in the shop due to an accident. I left my pass to the park in there. I didn't know I'd be needing it. Regardless, they made me pay to get in because they had no way to verify my yearly pass. This day in age, why wouldn't you have this? You have an interactive map with a barcode to access an online map for gosh sakes. I know I'm not the first this happened to...and I'm sure i won't...
