I absolutely love volunteering at Abbott Marshlands in Hamilton, NJ! This beautiful wetland preserve is such a special place. The Wednesday Wonder Walks and First Saturday walks are awesome - they’re guided by experts who make everything so much more interesting and help you spot things you’d never notice on your own. The wildlife here is incredible! We’ve seen snapping turtles, graceful swans, box turtles, beavers, and majestic blue herons. There’s amazing flora and fauna everywhere, with so many native plants to discover. Every walk feels like a new adventure. What I love most is how many family events they offer, and most are completely free! It’s such a wonderful way to get kids and adults excited about nature and conservation. The guided walks really bring the wetland ecosystem to life. Whether you’re a nature lover or just looking for a peaceful outdoor experience, Abbott Marshlands is a treasure. Highly recommend joining one of their...
