The World's Largest Bowie Knife — Attraction in Bowie

Being a citizen of Bowie this feels like a waste of money. Our only true claim to the name is that when the type Incorporated in 1883 the citizens chose Bowie as the name because the felt a kindred spirit with the concept of Jim Bowie.

Yes this is technically the world's largest true Bowie knife and ironically i think it's scaled to fit in General Sam Houston's hand. General Sam Houston can be found in Huntsville Texas right on the I-45 corridor.

Saw this in the Texas Travel Guide book you get from Texas Highways. We were going to be in this area so we bookmarked it to check it out. I want sure what to expect, but when we got here it's really a nice representation of Jim Bowie's famous knife! It's got a wood handle with a bolster and a polished blade! It's mounted and is over 20 feet in length!!! It also has the history of it on plaques located around the knife!
