Shanty Hollow Lake is a 135-acre reservoir mostly in Warren County, Kentucky, but also extending into Edmonson County. It was constructed in 1949, and has opened for fishing in 1951. The lake is located approximately 17 miles north of Bowling Green and is used for fishing.

Such a beautiful place and not too difficult of a trail. Once the path forks you just go off to the right and follow the lion king looking rock till you get to the falls. After the fork is where it gets a little more difficult with rocks and trees to climb over. Dogs allowed on leash, mine absolutely loved it. Managed just fine with her walking me. Only two stars because there was broken glass literally EVERYWHERE on the trail from a quarter mile in all the way to the falls. It's actually ridiculous. Giving this only 2 stars for now, although we might give it another chance one day. We had a couple bites but that was it. When we left out that night we seen multiple cop cars patrolling, two of which immediately got behind us and pulled us over. (He lied & said tail light was out. We stopped right after n it was working fine) anyways, he told us there had been lots of burglaries/thefts going on in the area at night time. This is such a great little trek into the outdoors. It’s a beautiful drive from Bowling Green. The waterfall hike is about a mile and took me 20ish minutes to get out to the waterfall.
