Ridge Run Dog Park — Attraction in Boyne City

My dogs love this place. But if you go there and Dexter is there with his mom be careful, she went out to her car and left both gates open, I couldn’t tell from where I was until I saw my husky run through the gates. Luckily someone was coming in with their dog and was able to grab her because she ran straight to their dog. I am beyond livid right now, we live a half hour away, I wouldn’t have known where to look for her if she didn’t run to that guys dog. Not the dog parks fault, but I don’t know if we’ll be able to come back now.

We’ve come back a couple of times now. And we haven’t had a problem. Well today Dexter and his mom shows up and as she’s coming in she leaves the first door open and then opens the second to come in. I was standing right there and I recognized her as she got out of her car, so I was ready. I tried being nice until she left the door opens open. I told my wife we were leaving because of this lady, the lady tried denying she had ever done it (even though she just did). Apparently she didn’t learn anything the last time. Again, not the parks fault, but other dog owners...

A very nice dog park, almost in the middle of nowhere. It has a small dog area and a large dog area. The size is plenty big. 50 dogs could easily be comfortable. The have tunnels and things for dogs to run through. There's a walking path along the entire inside perimeter. Also a doggie watering hose and seats for the humans. There is also picnic tables if you want to attempt a meal around wild dogs. There are only 3 dog parks in the N.W.L.P. I'm glad they did this one right. My dog lived it and so did I. This place is well worth the stop! I'm not from around the area, but everyone that came through was lovely. There are two big areas, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Both areas have water and toys and seat all around. Seems like a lot of the locals frequently visit, because dogs were coming and going the hour or so we were there. Not a single problem.
