Awesome place to hike with the dog. There are a few different options for distance which is great. I hiked the shortest and the longest loop and both are great! The trail is well-maintained all the way and there are some moderate elevation changes but nothing major or long.

Nice place for easy running. Little rolling hills (15 miles has ~1200 ft gain), soft, nothing technical. Clean. Not like the trashdump trails in Manistique. Haven’t seen a single syringe, vape thinger, or beer can. Amazing. Has some pretty views.

Lots of tough climbs, but the downhills were excellent payoffs! Another good thing about Days River is that all the trails loop together so you can cut over and turn back whenever you've had enough. Lots of beautiful and changing scenery!

This is a cycling review. I took my fat tire bike on a trip hoping to find a good trail. This set of trails were PERFECT for my fatty. Great layout made it hard to get lost. The further you go out, the higher the trail loop number and increased difficulty, but no trail is really more than moderate for mountain biking. You will definitely use all of your gears. Short and steep climbs were fun. There were no huge rocks or roots that would make riding a fatty with no suspension dangerous or just not fun. The trails were very well maintained. Kudos to those who maintain...

I absolutely love this trail system, you can choose any distance you want to run with the different distances of loops available. Great scenery and the trails are relatively empty. You do get the occasional dog off the leash that you run into, but if they are well behaved it's not a big deal (but everyone has seen the dog that goes barking and running at people and other dogs while the owner is...

These trail were clearly marked. We hiked during a snowstorm and had no problem following the routes. It was beautiful, but a more strenuous hike with snow hiding the ground. The trails are loops and give you options less than a couple miles to 9 miles. Wonderful for hiking. Running and biking would be difficult sure to uneven ground. Parking permits are available at the trailhead...
