Went to the Whiskey Bay exit boat ramp of I-10. Boat ramp looks nice. There's area to fish in the swamp and on the Whiskey Bay Pilot Channel. Pilot channel has a lot of current and snags and someone dropped a number 2 right in the middle of the little parking lot. I won't go back again. Now, the boat ramp side on the swamp was pretty clean for a public boat ramp. There's places to fish from the bank on either side of the ramp, under the interstate. There is tons of parking for trucks and trailers too. There's also a sign in station if you're using this to access Sherburne WMA. I'd come back to...

A real Louisiana swamp. Full of cypress trees, sweet gum with a few oak trees mixed in here and there. We're so lucky to have a native area set aside for all public to enjoy. Been here twice. I enjoy it for what it is. Its nicely kept. The roads are gravel with no pot holes. Saw lots of nature with my family. I really love how many times my son would tell me to look in excitement. We had a great time, it was free, and was able to get outside!

The mosquitoes rival the ducks, but there are little Oasis and Garden of Edens tuck away here and there. Be safe out there, and enjoy the view!
