The actual trail is for the most part great - pristine, untouched prairies offer a glimpse of what Illinois probably looked like a couple of hundred years ago. Will be returning in the Fall as I imagine it would be gorgeous (will update with photos). Bike riding is more or less enjoyable though there are some choppy points and more street crossings than I'd prefer - for that reason I suggest parking at 135th St. and Oak Park Ave. One gripe is that the speed limits on the intersecting streets really should not be 50 m.p.h....watch closely when you do cross.
