This is in Bremerton?! 🪴🍂. Hidden Garden. Big Views. Fall Colors. Redwoods • Cedar of Lebanon #gardentok #hiddengems #kitsapcounty #seattledaytrip

To visit Albers, you must make a reservation for a scheduled docent lead tour. Sometimes the website is "wonky". I lack a better term. You can call the business office if you can't secure a reservation on their website. It truly is an oasis! The property is a panorama of botanical delights. You take stoned pathways up about 200 ft elevation gains to view the puget sound. Mr Albers will guide you around the garden and educate the avid home gardener. Fall season at the garden is filled with color change. If you come in Spring and Summer you may be able to take private strolls depending on the day of the week.

We had a great self- guided tour of the gardens in mid summer. So much to see and a lovely place to hang out for a while. Interesting to see so many plants, many of them doing well without built in irrigation. I like the emphasis on sustainable gardening. A large collection of evergreens. It is a garden on a steep hillside, so need to be prepared to navigate that. My hiking sticks were helpful. A chat with the Director both before and after our tour was helpful to get oriented, and to ask our questions.

I cherish this little oasis in my neighborhood. They have preserved the land and created a haven for northwestern flora to flourish. The public can visit and learn all about the native trees and plants and how to better preserve and grow them at our homes. Vista Gardens offers various classes on planting, drought-resistant gardening, and even painting in nature because of the beautiful scenes at the gardens. Visit and support this local treasure. It is a peaceful respite in a...
