Yes. Yes a thousand times. If you love mulberries or are curious about them, please check out Very Mulberry U-Pick! A great activity to do with friends or loved ones. I drove over an hour to get there and it was worth it. You can eat as much as you want while picking so⦠do with that knowledge what you will. Thereās white and regular purple mulberries but youāll have to ask about the white mulberries because theyāre in a specific area. I never actually got to see or taste them because I completely lost myself among the purple mulberry trees. Mulberry season is short- just May through June so mark it on your calendars. I went at the very end of June and still there were many mulberries left on trees! They had a deal at that time where you could buy 3 boxes and get the 4th one free so thatās what I did. You can also buy a little mulberry tree for $86. Mulberries make great gifts in my experience because theyāre rare to find in most grocery stores.
Some notes on logistics. I had to buy tickets to enter but they provide you with fruit pickers and baskets to fill. You can pay with any method (apple pay, cards, cash, etc). Public porta potties available, lots of shaded seating by the entrance, a couple of food trucks, and loads of free parking (not worth it to get VIP parking). Bring shoes you donāt mind getting dirty because they will be coated with mulberry juice and dust by the end. There are a bunch of mulberries on the ground that youāll be stepping on so I literally had to take a stick and scrape the mulberries out of the cracks in the bottom of my shoe. Also bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and water bottles! One thing I forgot that Iād do next time: bring a cooler with some ice packs to store the mulberries in. If you drove a long way to get there and/or are planning to hang out in Brentwood before heading back home, itāll help your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMulberry picking experience at Very Mulberry in Brentwood was a slam-dunk 5-star experience from start to finish.
The process was incredibly organized, even though the farm was bustling. The $8 parking fee doubled as registration for our entire group, which saved time (DO THIS ONLINE AHEAD OF TIME). Filling out the online waiver beforehand helped speed things up, too. The friendly staff efficiently directed us in and out of the parking area.
Right by the entrance, there were stations for everything you needed. We grabbed empty boxes for our mulberry bounty, then picked up the essential mulberry-picking equipment (refundable $20 deposit ā genius!). This handy tool definitely came in clutch for reaching those high-hanging, juicy mulberries. There was even a dedicated station for packing our boxes and another for paying ā they even sell delicious mulberry jam!
The farm had accessible porter potties and water stations (not for drinking water) near both the entrance and the parking area, which was a thoughtful touch.
The best part? The mulberries themselves! We ventured towards the back of the orchard, a tip we overheard, and discovered a treasure trove of the biggest, darkest, and sweetest mulberries we'd ever seen. Picking them with the tool was a breeze, and the first bite was pure heaven. Absolutely loved the sweet and refreshing flavor ā a first-time experience I won't forget!
The farm was definitely buzzing with activity, but it didn't detract from the fun. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was incredibly well-organized.
Head to the back of the orchard for the best mulberries, fill out the waiver online beforehand, and don't forget your sun protection!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood and fun experience at Mulberry Farm.! There are still plenty left until end of berry season around late June - early July. Try to come in weekdays so no need to wait in check in long line. Also in weekdays, much easier for parking. I came at 8am opening time. Very quiet, we are the very first car in parking lot- lolz. It's getting sunny from 9:30. But all trees are very big, give enough shade for your comfortable. Make sure you pick only the black color one. All these are tree ripen which was so juicy, sweet with unique flavorful taste. If it's ripe it will easy to fall off with gentle touch by hand or picker. If you just want to come to have some good time for berry picking experience with $8 entrance fee and enjoy how much berry you want to pick then leave or $8 per box to bring home. No limited. Another option in case you dont want to pay for entrance fee. In middle of day, i know they sell some ready picked, $8/ box. These box 're sold out very fast with limited quantities daily. They also delivery berry directly to your home. Check on their website to see if they deliver to your area. It limits to some big city around farm only. Tips: water's at toilet area for handwashing. Bring water for your hydrating and wash the berry. in case you don't like messy hand, bring some pairs of gloves. make sure check all boxes before heading to picking area. I got some bad defects boxes and had to go back to the front to exchange staff all friendly and helpful. They nicely change it for me but i had to walk all the way from picking area back to the entrance, not super far but take too much my time. It's the only in CA and the largest mulberry farm in USA. Good place for kids outdoors...
