If you have an out of state tag it will cost you 50.00 to enter. We were very lucky that they let us in without paying because all we wanted to do was to visit the lighthouse.
You will have to walk on the rocks/jetty, grass and a rocky Shelly beach to get to this lighthouse but a beautiful view. The rocks are slippery so be careful because I wasn’t and slipped wearing hiking boots. Mosquitoes were bad on this day. Sadly there is trash along the way and graffiti sprayed on the rocks and also graffiti was on the lighthouse.
Putting everything aside I still enjoyed our walk to this lighthouse. There was a birds nest on top and we watched as the bird flew to the nest with its catch, we thought that was pretty cool.

Read more$50 fee for the day if you're from out of state. The beach is more like a washed up shore and the lighthouse is not an attraction worth that much. The stone walk leading up to the lighthouse is beautiful! I wore sandals and at the time wished that I had sneakers. Unfortunately the stone path doesn't lead all the way up to the lighthouse and there's glass amongst the shells and sand here and there. Bring bug spray!!!!!! Drove here just to find it is intended for Connecticut residents . Such a let down for the whole family. Do not waste your time coming to this light house.
