Highland Lake Beach — Attraction in Bridgton

It is a nice lake and Bridgeton is great also has a boat launch but many rocks in the lake are not very well marked or not at all, caught one 200 ft from shore with my prop! But now apparently they are allowing someone to build a 68 room Microtel right around the corner from it and it is in a neighborhood and (I guess where the old saw mill is) will be way out place as well as ruin the small...

Ya know, it's not expansive, but there's beach, and woods walks, and mountain views, albeit the lower mountains ground down with age that Rockies dwellers would call hills? But nah, they're mountains, they are. Convenient parking, Maine lake, nice Maine folks that shared Chinese lunch from down the street...

There are a few walking trails. It brings you downtown to the local shops. You will pass an old saw mill, a stream, and beautiful landscapes. Plus you have the lake. Picnicking, and a playground.
