Awesome hiking area with a perfect 2 hour loop hike that leads you thru the entire preserve. You can start on the Southern Shore trail located on Chaplins Mill Road in Bridgton, follow to the Holt Pond trail and finally jump on the Adam Perron Tail which leads you BACK to Chaplins Mill Rd. You then just walk down Chaplin Mills rd about a 1/4 mile back to the South Shore Trail Head 😎. Takes about 2 hours....scenery is off the hook😍

Beautiful scenery. Trails are extremely well maintained and marked. We hiked the whole trail yesterday. We were surprised when the trail ended at a road. In the pouring rain, we walked quite a way then through a field to get back on Adam perrone trail. All in all it was a great hike! For those wanting a lesser hike. Perhaps just go to holt pond boardwalk for great views, then go back. Thank you ELA for this wilderness gem 🙏

nice trails. parking area, with a bathroom. no camping. though I wouldn't bring a dog because there are board walks and there feet could go through slits and they could be hurt. though great for kids! and lea leaves a canoe with life jackets for the publics use! rently put in a new longer trail that stays off the board walks. wild berries grow all over here. great fishing!! and very possible to see other wild life. ex. turtles, deer, birds, beaver,...
