Nice little pond but with heavily populated shores full of camps, houses and at least one youth summer camp. There are loons on the lake though so that's nice. Oh and Woods pond is quite shallow! From the shore line that I was on, you could walk out a surprising distance and still be in only waist deep water!! Perhaps it's deeper elsewhere but wherever I took my kayak, I could always touch bottom with my paddle. Apparently(according to signs I saw) the pond is stocked with brown trout. I saw no one fishing while I was there but perhaps it would be a good place to fish anyway. There isn't a lot of lily pad/water vegetation for species like bass or pickerel and shallow water usually means warm water-which trout don't like but like I said, maybe things are different in parts of the lake that I...
Read moreThe boat ramp here is a bit tough. It is close to the road and has just the shoulder to pull up on to back down the ramp which is a bit narrow and rough. However. There's a nice dock to tie up to, just be aware of the rocks on the far side as they Aren't very fast from the dock. The water can also be on the shallow side so use care. There's poison ivy on the road side of the ramp too so you might not want to step into...
