This is a great park with lots of green space surrounding the main play areas. It seems to be located in the middle of a neighborhood, so the street wasn’t all that busy when we were there. This park is a great outdoor space for people of all ages and interests. There are 2 main play structures — one taller and one shorter, possibly for younger kids. There are 2 toddler swings and 2 regular swings on 2 separate swing sets on opposite sides of the play area. There is a walking path that is lined intermittently with exercise equipment, a basketball court, a baseball diamond, and a skate park down the hill from the play structures. I mostly come for my small children, but the walking trails and exercise loop are great, and the park is very large, with a horse area, tennis courts, and a covered picnic shelter that can either be used first come, first served or reserved ahead of time for up to 4 hours at the nearby Brier City Hall.
I've hosted and attended birthday parties for small children at the picnic shelter, and it has worked great. So far only really great weather on those days, so your mileage may vary.

Read moreI just moved away in May after living the area since the early 80s and I already miss Brier Park! It was always my go to place to think, walk or use the playground equipment. The adult size stand up slider helped so much while recovering from knee surgery a few years ago and I love the stretching stations as you walk the paved trail. My 34 year old son's kindergarten end of the year party was in Brier Park and so many of the parents of my son's friend's still live in the area.
