Newfound Lake — Attraction in Bristol

Less then 20 years ago this was a quite beautiful lake and the state beach was a well kept and clean. Flash to 2024 and your in a very different environment. Water ways are crowded with uneducated boat and PWC operators. The beach has become a third world city beach that intimidates the staff from enforcing the state park rules. The biggest issue is the stress to this once clean lake. The Recently built monstrosities we now call lake houses. (What happened to building a lake camp or cottage? ) has gone unchecked. Taking a left off the I-93 exit is getting more difficult over the last few years. In the next decade, I see this Lake, becoming overly developed with heavy boat, traffic, and garbage covered beaches. Yes, this Lake will become an annex to the big over developed, overused, and over priced...

I've been wanting to check this lake out and got to today (Monday). Very easy access. Plenty of parking. Low parking fee. Was a bit busy but the area (lake, picnic areas, changing rooms) were all very clean. Friendly staff. Beautiful day. Will...
