We went yesterday at 3 PM.
Website says that the tour is 2 hours long. However, we were there for under an hour. It is not worth it to spend that amount of money for an activity that does not last as long as advertised.
Secondly, the male tour guide was very awkward and came off as rude. At a certain point, it would have been nice if he stopped talking all together. During one instance, my friend and I were discussing the event on the way back and he got snappy with us saying something along the lines of that we didn't hear what he said and that since we weren't listening, we can't find out what he was telling the rest of the group. He kept making multiple snide remarks and it only escalated as the tour went on.
His communication skills were subpar and I do not think it is safe to keep him as a guide if he is unable to do so especially when doing something as risky as zip lining for first-timers or novices. Anytime someone would double check with him if it was OK to go, he would shrug his shoulders and say "If you want". Which is interesting as we aren't the ones with the walkie talkies to be able to communicate on the other end knowing if the other end of the zip line is free and OK to go on. It would be nice if we got have gotten something more than that attitude.
In conclusion, the other female tour guide was kind and exactly what is needed in a guide. It is also a waste of money if you are expecting anywhere near 2 hours for...
Read moreNot sure what to rate this to be honest. I came here with my husband January 2023 and it was just him and I with 3 zip lining guides. One of the guides was in training while the other 2 were leading. On the first go, my husband went first and the break applied fine. They have walkie talkies to communicate with each other, and for whatever reason, my guide in training thought that she had communicated that she was ready to receive me. That was not the case. My husband was stuck on the line and she was trying to unhook him at the bottom. Consequently, the break mechanism had not been applied and I realized this in the last few seconds while released that something was wrong. I collided at the end with the guide, my husband, and the equipment at the bottom at full speed. This was a full blown accident. This experience taught me that I will never go zip lining again as a careless accident caused a lot pain. I am happy we walked away from this experience safe. For whatever reason we decided to continue with the zip lining experience but I think I was in a sort of shock. I truly think the staff were spooked by the incident as the owner drove down to apologize and indicated there would be an investigation and training as a result of this accident. I don’t want to talk down on them because the guides were young but I want to make people aware that there are real dangers to this activity. We got free pictures and free sweatshirts out...
Read moreWe've done this ziplining course both times that we've visited. It takes about an hour and a half to two hours from start to finish. That time depends on if you show up on time with your paperwork completed. The time on the course is about 45 minutes. The staff are all nice and professional. They made everyone feel safe and at ease throughout the adventure. The ziplines are nestled back in the trees, so you will find lots of shade. They have water coolers along the course as well. My favorite is the last trek that is about 1,000 that takes you over a short leg of Broken Bow Lake. It was an awesome view. I would say you do need to be in moderate shape with a few short hikes up some slopes and stairs. The weight limit is 70-250 pounds, and they will check you before you go. While you can swing horizontal while zipping, you cannot go inverted, which was fine for my crew. They will record your adventure on their cameras, but you will have ample time to take your own photos as well if you want to save some money. It may seem pricey, but I feel our safety is worth it. They have some pretty good items in the gift shop that are reasonably priced. I bought my daughter a ballcap for $25 that was good quality. Sure I typically try and find ballcaps on sale for $15, but I consider this reasonable for good quality unique gift shop items. Come...
