Quacumquasit Pond (South Pond) — Attraction in Brookfield

I've always had a five for my hometown lake... my husband fishes here almost daily, I walk my dog to the town beach often. In the summer we spend a LOT of time in and on the water. EVERY time I'm at the beach, near the beach or walk my dog period because apparently I'm one of the few that actually does it, I pick up my dogs waste and I also pick up my trash and the trash left by others. I only give a lower review because apparently as someone that lives here, I'm NOT actually entitled to walk my dog on my own town beach. The beach that I'm walking on, picking up the trash on, picking up the poop on (that my dog didn't leave by the way)... there's NEVER been a problem with dogs on the beach. I'm never going to understand other people's need to bother with someone doing a good thing just because, well I'm not sure why to be honest. What I know... something in my town has changed. I was going to make this complaint on our town fb page. I thought better of it. That's about like going to the town beach. Great place to visit, nice deep pond with fairly clear water. On a few occasions, the beach had a group of people that were drinking and being loud with music that resulted in police showing up. Really nice area for doing some shore fishing.

Clean porta potty and clean grounds. Good local vibe.

People using the area really could better at cleaning up after themselves with trash, fishing line, and worm containers but that’s just people being slobs.

Hear the fishing is really good on the pond itself...
