The Hideaway at Reed's Estate — Attraction in Brookhaven

I had won a 2 night stay here but I didn't realize because they had a wedding venue for the weekend that we wouldn't be able to walk the premises and look around while we were there. When I googled it it looked amazing the cabins had everything but when I arrived they told us how to get to our cabin and the cabin we stayed in I didn't even see on their website. They failed to tell us there wasn't a TV stove or BBQ grill.. we had to drive 45min back home to get supplies to cook in and a TV and DVD player because there was literally nothing to do since we couldn't walk around. Our mini fridge was completely frozen so we had to bust the ice out of it to keep our drinks cold. If I had been told over the phone when I had called and booked it, then maybe my expectations wouldn't have been set so high.. we met the wedding party on Saturday night due to them needing help carrying in the groom because he was wasted. My sisters wedding was here and the venue was very beautiful. I’m just VERY MAD and disappointed that they were showing someone else the venue while the wedding was going on. They brought someone in the reception hall while we were getting ready. Even upstairs where all of our personal stuff was at for the bride and bridesmaids. On top of that, they brought people in the main cabin!! While we were NOT THERE!!! THEY WERE IN THE ROOM! All of our stuff was in that cabin. Purses, wallets, toiletries, everything! One of the bridesmaids walked in on them and caught them. That is the most disrespectful and unprofessional thing they could have done. If I paid for that, I would be getting my money back! Other than that it was great. But just because that happened, we will not be using them again. Which is a shame since we have a bunch of parties we were wanting to use the place for.
