Awesome spot to start your exploration of Sax-Zim bog. A huge array of feeders is kept up during the winter months, and attracts many northern specialty birds such as Redpolls, Pine Grosbeaks, and Gray Jays. Walking was easy with Yak Traks and I also used a trekking pole. For a first time visit and with snow on the ground, I really enjoyed the bog. Only saw squirrels and a few different kinds of birds.
