CYPRESS & MAGNOLIA has MOVED to a BIGGER & BETTER AREA.๐๐ฅณ I know they love it! Magnolia recognized my voice & came to the glass window. She knew I was there. So happy that even tho I can't be as close to her she still knows me. My sweet BayBay is still ironic when people are around but she talks more than ever now to me, when no one's around.๐ What she is saying I wish I only knew.๐ณ Be careful feeding Cupid (small donkey) she gets excited & will accidentally bite your finger. She gets excited because Matt will get all the treats. Try to feed Matt away from her. Unfortunately I buy enough treats to throw on the ground for Matt then run to the area where Cupid can reach to eat. I wish there was another way to feed them treats but it works for them both. Looking forward to the wonderful changes & new additions coming to Zoosiana. 3/13/24 ๐ค Bay Bay (monkey)was doing funny tricks to let me know I was missed. Female lion did not like me at all, kept following me, watching. Animals seemed to love today's weather. Update Magnolia the lion is now just a sweet lion, just needed to get used to me. She doesn't feel threatened at all, look how relaxed she is now when I talked to her. Doesn't have that need to follow me, is able to just relax with me there. Mike & Mitchell are the tigers, starting to come around...
ย ย ย Read moreThey booked 4 or more schools on the same day today for field trips, there were too many people there, chaos, overcrowded, adults acting like children and no authorities to step in to protect the actual children. The zoo staff tried to do their best to calm people down and fix the issues at hand but were outnumbered by the sheer amount of unruly parents and were unable to gain control. The animal show was held in the Zootorium building which because of the amount of people there all at the same time they squeezed as many as they could in to watch the show so they didn't have to have as many shows in one day, there was more than fire code, I'm sure of it.. very dangerous for all the small Kindergarten children sitting in the walkways because there wasn't enough room on the benches. If an emergency situation would have happened it would have been terrible watching helpless children being trampled. There was too many schools booked at once. Plus they charged way too much for half of an experience due to having too many people trying to do the same activities at the same times. There was not enough time to see the animals, all the time was spent waiting in lines cramped between people. Terrible experience and I hope they...
ย ย ย Read moreWe went here the day before Thanksgiving and arrived around opening time. There was no wait and almost nobody in the zoo. The zoo features a lot of animals from monkeys to giraffes to tigers and lions. There are also a lot of birds. I liked the layout of the zoo, all the enclosures were easily to find and spot the animals. Everything was clean and the animals looked good. There's also the option to buy a little bit of food for ยข25 and feed the goats, llamas, donkeys or giraffes. Additionally there's a train for $3 which let's you get a closer look at some animals, like the camel's, deer and monkeys. There's also a carousel and little gift shop at the end with shirts and toys. At some enclosures I missed information about the animals inside and I wish there were more signs around and not only one for each animal, especially if the enclosure is accessible from different spots. I also wish some animals like the tigers, black panther or lions had more hiding spots and entertainment, a lot of the animals were just pacing along the fence or staring into nothingness. It took us about 2ยฝh to see every animal at least once and ride the train.
I recommend going here for a fun day out and encourage everybody to learn about...
