Great winding, steady ascent through the woods onto the exposed granite summit. Lots of rock scrambling towards the top with excellent views in every direction. There are two trails to take you to the summit, the blue trail (North Peak) is a direct trail to the summit and the yellow (Twin Brook) is a longer, more gradual climb from the other side. Bring proper footwear and bug spray. Also, get here early as the parking lot fills up quickly and there is limited parking on the side of the road.

Nice challenging hike overall however the twin Brook trail was frustrating to find in some places and not well maintained in other which caused us to cut our hike short. Wasn’t sure if the dog could do the north peak trail so we opted to go up and back on Twin Brook but stopped before reaching North peak unfortunately everyone was hot and frustrated trying to find the markers and we wasted time searching

Fantastic moderate hike with great views looking East. A steady incline, taking the blue trail up moving counterclockwise, going down the gradual yellow trail, making a nice loop. Under 4 miles around. Made for a nice spring hike where most of the mountains are still covered in snow on the trails, this trail was mostly clear.

An enjoyable lollipop hike! Just enough to challenge without being too taxing. Highly suggest the Blue trail up (Has some rock climbing that littles and dogs will need help with) and Yellow trail down (meandering trail that flanks a stream during some parts.) This trail offers some vistas along the way and spots to relax and enjoy the views on the summit. Only gripe is that the Yellow trail is lacking in maintenance and some of the blazes are missing or fading, so it takes a keen eye- especially in fall when the beech, birches, etc turn yellow. Overall, will...

This is a very challenging hike for the casual, occasional hiker. Not only is there hand over fist rock climbing near the top but the yellow trail is poorly marked. At one point it directs hikers in the complete opposite direction. But finding your way around is part of the fun. Advice: go up the blue trail, come down the yellow trail, and know that yellow turns back into blue approximately 20-30 minutes before you...
