We arrived after closing. The patriarch met us on the way in and directed us to the RV parking. Plenty of room. 50 amp power. Julian greeted us and invited us into the winery. No time for the full tasting experience, but we ended up tasting and buying one of every variety.
Before we had left, we had met and had delightful conversations with six different members of the extended family, all of whom live on the property.

   Read moreOswald farms is one of our favorite family destinations! We found them through the Harvest Hosts app and we stayed the night on their property in our RV (twice). The vineyard is gorgeous, family run, and family friendly. Sunset and sunrise were breathtaking! We enjoyed cheese, crackers, and conversation with the Oswalds while tasting their wines. Our 5 kids loved the cows, chickens, and dogs! When given the choice to visit a big cat rescue sanctuary, they unanimously voted to re-visit the vineyard again.    Read moreWow. This little place is remarkable. My wife likes white, I like red. We tried all 4 whites and 2 reds, and we both liked all 6. I’m taking a case home. I love to try little family wineries. You never know what you’re going to get. Normally everything is interesting, but quality is uneven . Not this place; the quality is solid across the board. Definitely worth going off the beaten path!! FYI: they don’t yet make a true sweet wine; they are all dry wines. But they harvest their grapes relatively late, so I think the aromatics have a lot of that “late harvest...
