Bryce Point is one of he Scenic Drive viewpoints and is situated on the south side of the Bryce Amphitheatre facing north. We really enjoyed this particular viewpoint, even if it was the busiest found along the Scenic Drive.
To reach Bryce Point, you turnoff the main Scenic Drive east for two miles. You will first pass a quick turn to Inspiration Point, which is also very much worth visiting.
Note: There is a Shuttle bus stop at Bryce Point for those who are not planning to drive their own vehicle. Further, the Rim trail start/stops at Bryce Point if you are interested in walking the Rim back to the Lodge area
At Bryce Point, you will find an extended concrete platform, providing nearly 270 degree views into the Amphitheatre and lower canyon area to the south. You will spot endless hoodoos and other delightful land formations, trees, hiking trails. The colours are wonderful. We were lucky to have visited while their remained a decent amount of snow in places. This made for great photographs.
In the end, of all the viewpoints, this may have been the one we enjoyed the most. We stopped here on both days we spent in Bryce Canyon National Park, enjoying our early visit as well as being here late afternoon.
Note: The viewpoints along the Scenic Drive are best visited from south to north. As such, start with Rainbow and Yavimpa Points at the end of the road first. Then start making your way back north, pulling over to the right hand side when you approach a viewpoint which strikes your interest. If you are like us -...

Here’s the corrected version: We found Bryce Point to be the best spot in Bryce Canyon National Park. The views were breathtaking when we visited in the evening during sunset, although we learned it’s also great during sunrise. The place was cold and windy, so wearing layers is necessary. Watching the softer lighting and shadows on the hoodoos was spectacular. Parking was limited, and it’s just a 5-minute walk to reach the viewpoint. This was our favorite spot in Bryce Canyon and is...
Read moreThis was such a magical place and having the beautiful snow just added more beauty to our visit. The drive in from Cedar City was so beautiful but the weather slowed us down we arrived later in the afternoon we checked in at Ruby's Inn and took a drive on into the park it was snowing pretty good but we wanted to see what we could. So if you're traveling in late fall I would say to stop because there's less people & traffic so you can really enjoy the views. If you want to hike then that may not be the best time to hike. Some roads and trails were closed. We did a short hike at Mossy Cave and that was really gorgeous. This place is lovely during any season...
