Good place except for most weekends during the summer where it gets so packed and busy with a ton of boats on the water. So many boats it is too dangerous to let your kids tube or ski behind boat because of the high chance somebody will run over them. It's a small lake so it get easily crowded. The crowd usually has everyone playing their own music on their sound systems and at very high volume so that all you hear is Tejano music over lapping country and rock and it just all ends up as noise. Forget about trying to fish, again, too crowded, too noisy, rude visitors, and WAY too many boats at one time. If you want to have any chance of enjoying the lake, you go during the week, no where near a holiday, and hope everyone is busy going to work and not crowding up the place and hurting your ears with their chaos. Especially steer clear of folks drinking out there on the bank during the weekend, I have seen several fights break out at different times during different weekends, but always seems to be some bunch of folks that have been drinking...

Want do you get for eleven dollars a person. Then an extra dollar to swipe a card. I have a hard time believing there is not enough card use. I have been to a lot of parks ln 25+ states and the cost person is expensive. The fish are stock by the state, law enforcement is the county, concession are private. The lake was floating with trash on the west shore line. So a family of four could pay the one hour to scoop the trash up. Feels like some one is taking advantage of limited water resources. To make matters worse the computer was done. She could take the money , but could raise the gate arm. It would have been nice to have a map. She said just look it up on the phone. I guess the law of no texting is not map reading as you drive. The county is really printing safe driving with area with children!!! I have work in parks and refuges for 20 years so do not say ,...

We had a wonderful time here on Easter April 1st 2018. There was lots of little things for the kids to do. I will say this though if you want to make sure that your child is able to hunt eggs get there early because entering into the lake there is a long long line and this year the hunt started at 12:00pm we arrived at 11:30 to the area. There were three lines of where you pay going into the lake which is $11 per adult children 6-17 is $5.00 and 5 and under is free. even though we arrived 30 min early we still missed the Easter egg hunt :( Everything did cost money except the pictures with the Easter bunny which were free but you took them with your own device. Although my family and I did enjoy our self we will find another Easter...

I haven't been there in so long. A few of my friends invited me out for a camp out. First off I couldn't believe how cheap it was. I had so much fun relaxing in the lake then I cannot wait to go back and I'm already planning my next trip. The water was a great temperature, even in the evenings. If you were going to camp there I suggest you get there a little early to declare your campsite. The best ones go fast. I recommend this to anyone that wants to get away but doesn't want to go to far. It is so relaxing. Another bonus is that you can bring your dogs. This picture is just something that I woke up to and is so pretty!

Caught a Grass Carp it was 8.5lbs, not sure if I should have culled it. I’m pretty sure it’s invasive and not good for the lake ecosystem. I also saw a catfish and a crappie death floating near the dock, when I picked them up with my net they came to life except the catfish popes back up half eaten by something so I fed it to a cat. I also caught a 14” channel catfish that will be delicious with some fried cabbage and cornbread this weekend! The sunset here as well as the nigh scenery is beautiful! And as a veteran I only pay $7 to come in and fish! I love this lake!
