Gallagher Beach — Attraction in Buffalo

The beach is ok... amazing sunsets and sometimes you see some cool stuff like water powered jet packs or wind surfing on ice... and the old silo building next to the beach has some cool boats and ships to check out at times and a cool place yo explore! Yo see this place... OR the old BUFFALO central terminal... OR silo city... OR many other abandonded and forgotten sites of the queen city all on YouTube at... BUFFALO ESKATE ... I want to rate this “beach” higher, but I’m gonna be harsh here because I feel like this spot leaves so much to be desired. It’s a beach where dogs are allowed, but it’s also totally rocky, full of trash, has a paint odor of pee, and dogs can’t actually go swimming here (officially anyway). It’s the closest thing to an actual dog beach within 70 miles it seems, but that alone isn’t enough to rate it higher. It also needs better signage - it was a bit confusing to find for...

Small but nice quiet and clean Adirondack chairs available for use. Some doubles with small table in between chairs. The lower area has access to beach. Can use to put in kayaks, canoes, longboards and other water equipment except motionless boats. There is an area farther down to put in jet skies. Good size area for no wakes/slow speeds. Some geese, ducks and seagulls also quite a few barn swallows. Tift Nature Preserve is across the street to view more birds...
