Visited on Saturday morning May 25 and took my inflatable kayak out. Came back to shore and rented a hardshell. I got blown out a little farther than I was comfortable with and called the pavilion to pick me up. Jacob was the name of the guy that came out. Pleasant and helpful experiences all around. The lake was very clean and launching a kayak or similar vessel was easy. The swimming beach is small, but I went at a non peak time, so only a couple people were there, but mostly to lounge on the sand.

Clean lake with a nice, but small beach. The boat launch is awkward but doable even if launching a 23 foot boat. However, I was there for my second time the other day (first being one day last summer) and on both occasions I ran into really, really grumpy folks launching their boats or waiting to do so. Honestly, on the only two separate occasions I heard or saw more than 4 interactions that were less than pleasant.

I won't be going back as I would rather be surrounded by folks who can be patient and/or help others out. I'm not sure why I've witnessed so much animosity in such a short timespan in...

One of my absolute favorite lakes in all of Minnesota! Love swimming, jet skiing, kayaking, tubing, sun tanning, ice fishing, walking on the ice or the sandy beach and just spending time with family and friends out here! Please help keep this lake clean though by picking up any beach glass or other trash you see in or near the water! No one wants little kids to step on sharp and dangerous objects or to have it get swallowed by wildlife! And please don’t over-fertilize your lawns so that we can prevent excessive algae...
