I visited this place about three weeks ago. I really loved this museum. It shows so much of our history and, in my opinion, does a very good job of honoring our brave service men and women and their sacrifice for our wonderful Nation!
The motorcycle ride there (from Dallas) was very good (back roads). The museum is very clean, and the collection is impressive (there's even a UH-1 "Huey" inside the building), the collection ranges from before the Revolutionary War all the way to our modern military. If you like presidential memorabilia, they have a signed item from every president (and other artifacts).

The hall of the presidents is very impressive with a signature of every us president since Washington. We only made it halfway thru the US history part before we ran out of time ,but we will definitely be going back to finish soon. It is a learning/teaching museum and totally free for veterans. The museum itself has two different areas, a presidential hall and a military American Freedom section which starts with the American Revolution to the Freedom we have today.
